Carte Blanche Recruitment
I’ve been thinking—if you were to launch a recruitment agency from scratch, what changes would you make?
Would you opt for percentage-based fees? Would you employ 360 consultants? Would you consider contingent recruitment? Or perhaps you’d have some fun with quirky hats… I’m eager to hear your thoughts!

If I were to start a recruitment agency tomorrow, here are a few things I would do differently:
Transparent Pricing Model: Instead of traditional percentage fees, I would consider a flat fee structure that aligns with the role’s seniority. This would simplify budgeting for clients and promote transparency.
Niche Focus: I’d carve out a niche in a specific industry or sector where I have expertise, allowing for deeper relationships and understanding of client needs, which can lead to higher quality placements.
Hybrid Model: I would implement a hybrid approach that includes both contingent and retained recruitment options, giving clients flexibility based on their needs.
Technology-Driven: Emphasizing tech solutions, I would invest in AI and analytics to streamline the recruitment process, improve candidate matching, and enhance the overall experience for both clients and candidates.
Candidate Experience: I’d prioritize the candidate experience, ensuring regular communication and feedback throughout the process to create a positive impression of our agency, regardless of the outcome.
Diversity and Inclusion: I would implement strategies to promote diversity and inclusion in recruitment, partnering with organizations that support underrepresented groups.
Continuous Learning: Instead of traditional 360 consultants, I might employ specialized teams who could focus on specific phases of the recruitment process, continuously learning and adapting to industry changes.
And as for silly hats… I believe in keeping things professional! However, maybe a themed event to lighten the atmosphere could be fun! What are your thoughts on these ideas?
