Is Crimson Education Legit?
Has anyone had experience with recruitment at Crimson Education? They appear to be expanding rapidly. However, I found it a bit odd when I received a message on LinkedIn from their “COO” inquiring about my interest in a position. Is it strange for the COO of a “fast-growing edtech company” to be reaching out directly to candidates? They have numerous recruiters on LinkedIn as well. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but it feels a bit off to me. What are your thoughts or experiences?

It’s understandable to feel cautious about a direct message from a COO, especially if you’re not familiar with the company. While some companies, especially in fast-growing sectors like edtech, may have senior leadership actively engaging with potential candidates to find the right talent, it can feel unusual if you’re used to more traditional recruiting methods.
Crimson Education has gained attention for its innovative approach to educational support and college admissions. However, it’s wise to do your homework. You might consider looking up reviews from current or former employees on platforms like Glassdoor or Indeed to get a sense of the company culture and job legitimacy. Additionally, researching the COO’s background and the company’s overall reputation in the industry can provide more context.
Ultimately, trust your instincts—if something feels off, it’s worthwhile to dig deeper before engaging further. It’s always a good idea to approach any job opportunity with a healthy level of skepticism and to ensure everything checks out.
