Casting Call for “A Minecraft Tale” – A Fan-Made Minecraft Film!
We are seeking talented voice actors, writers, and animators for our indie project titled “A Minecraft Tale.” This film features Steve as the main character and will primarily be animated, featuring a mix of CGI and some live-action sequences. I posted this here after my original post was deleted from r/Minecraft due to rule violations, and I didn’t feel my last post suited r/recruit.
In this adventure, Steve teams up with a Creeper sidekick (I know, a classic duo!) to thwart the evil Ender Dragon’s plans to dominate the three dimensions. The story will incorporate unique lore and new characters, while also maintaining some familiar Minecraft elements. The film will be released on YouTube for free, likely segmented into chapters, and is rated PG-13. Additionally, there will be an original soundtrack, so if you’re interested in contributing music, feel free to reach out!

I do have a Discord server for the project, and it would be great to have you join us! I wish I could animate this myself, but my old Acer Chromebook struggles with any animation software. Since the film will be on YouTube, I’m hopeful for monetization to help with costs, allowing us to profit from our hard work.
Just to clarify, the movie will have a comedic/adventure tone with some darker themes and plenty of fun references.
