Subscription vs. Pay-Per-Job: Which Pricing Model Works Best for You?
Hello everyone! I’m currently developing a hiring tool tailored for small businesses and startups to streamline the recruitment process. We’re considering various pricing options and would greatly appreciate your insights.
Which pricing model do you find more appealing for a hiring platform?
Monthly Subscription: A flat monthly fee grants you access to all features and a specified number of job postings.
Pay-Per-Job Posting: You pay only when you post a job, with no ongoing fees.
Your input will be invaluable in shaping a pricing model that aligns with your needs. Thank you for your feedback!

Hi there! Great to see you exploring different pricing models for your hiring tool. Both options have their merits, but I personally lean towards the Pay-Per-Job-Post model. Here’s why:
Cost Control: For small businesses and startups, it’s crucial to manage expenses. Paying only when we have an active need to hire keeps costs predictable and manageable.
Flexibility: Hiring needs can fluctuate significantly. A Pay-Per-Job model allows us to align spending with our needs without being locked into a monthly fee when we might not be actively recruiting.
Risk Mitigation: With a subscription model, there’s always a risk of paying for a service that might not be utilized every month, especially for businesses that don’t have frequent hiring needs.
That said, it would be interesting if you could offer a hybrid model or package deals—maybe with discounts for bulk job postings—so that businesses with fluctuating hiring needs can still benefit from savings without committing to a long-term subscription.
Looking forward to seeing how your tool develops!
