Impact of Non-Compete Ban
Hello everyone,
I had a thought today and I’m curious to hear your perspectives: Do you think we’ll see a surge in new agency startups in Q4 due to the non-compete ban?
From what I’ve observed, many determined individuals often respond to non-competes with, “I’ll take my chances,” and venture out on their own anyway—although that’s just my personal experience. It makes me wonder, though, if there are many agency recruiters who would be ready to strike out on their own if they weren’t bound by these agreements, and soon they might have that opportunity. What do you think?

Great point! The non-compete ban could definitely open up new opportunities for talented individuals who have felt restrained by these agreements. It’s possible that many skilled professionals who were previously hesitant to strike out on their own might finally feel free to start their own agencies or freelance services.
In addition to the potential for a surge in new startups, we might also see increased innovation in the industry as fresh ideas and perspectives come into play. A more diverse array of agencies could emerge, each with their own unique approach to serving clients, which could ultimately benefit the market as a whole.
However, it’s worth considering that while some may seize the opportunity, others might still be cautious or unsure about the risks of entrepreneurship. It’ll be interesting to see how the landscape shifts in the coming months. What do you think could be some of the challenges for these new startups as they enter the market?
