Reference Check Concern
Hi everyone, I’m an IMG starting my first job with the NHS. My referee kindly agreed to provide a reference for one month prior to my employment. However, during the reference check, she indicated that I was employed from May to July, but for the reference period, she listed April to July. Could this discrepancy create any issues for me? Thank you!

It’s great to hear that you’re getting your first NHS job! Regarding the reference check, it’s best to clarify any discrepancies directly with your referee. If the reference listed employment from May to July but indicated the reference period as April to July, it may lead to some confusion about the timeline.
Reach out to your referee and explain the situation. If they can confirm that you were employed during that time and adjust the reference if necessary, it should help alleviate any concerns during the verification process. It’s always best to have the details align to avoid any possible issues. Good luck with your new role!
