Looking for HSE Specialists
I’m on the hunt for experienced HSE Specialists in the Brampton and Mississauga areas, as well as regions east of Toronto like Trenton and Belleville. Unfortunately, my efforts on Indeed and LinkedIn over the past few months haven’t yielded any results.
Does anyone have suggestions for alternative places to find qualified health and safety professionals?

It can be challenging to find qualified HSE specialists, but here are a few suggestions that might help:
Industry-Specific Job Boards: Consider searching on job boards that specialize in health and safety roles, such as SafetyJobs.ca or HSEJobs.com. These platforms often attract more targeted candidates.
Professional Associations: Reach out to local chapters of professional associations such as the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE) or the National Safety Council. They often have job boards or can connect you with qualified professionals.
Networking Events: Attend local health and safety conferences, seminars, or workshops in your area. These events are great for networking and can help you connect with HSE specialists looking for new opportunities.
Recruitment Agencies: Partnering with a recruitment agency that specializes in health and safety placement could save you time and yield better results. They often have a network of qualified candidates.
Social Media Groups: Engage with LinkedIn groups or Facebook pages focused on health and safety. Posting your job openings there can help you reach a wider audience.
Referrals: Don’t underestimate the power of referrals. Ask your current employees or industry contacts if they know any qualified HSE specialists who might be looking for new opportunities.
Local Colleges/Universities: Contact local educational institutions that offer programs in occupational health and safety. They might have job placement services or a pool of recent graduates seeking work.
By exploring these additional avenues, you may have better luck in finding the right HSE specialists. Good luck!
