Has anyone made the jump from Executive Search to Recruitment?
I’m seeking some guidance, as I realize it may seem like an unusual shift, but I really didn’t enjoy my time in executive search! Any advice would be appreciated!

It’s definitely possible to transition from executive search to recruitment, and many people have done it successfully! Here are a few points to consider:
Skills Transfer: Both roles require strong interpersonal skills, an understanding of the job market, and the ability to identify and engage talent. You’ll find that many of the skills you’ve honed in executive search can be beneficial in a recruitment role.
Work Environment: Recruitment often has a different pace and structure compared to exec search. If you’re looking for a more collaborative or team-oriented environment, recruitment can provide that.
Focus on Candidates: Recruitment often allows for more direct interaction with candidates throughout the hiring process. This can be a refreshing change if you’re seeking more meaningful relationships and a personal touch in your work.
Career Growth: Ensure you understand the opportunities for growth and advancement in recruitment. Depending on the company, it could offer a broader range of experiences and pathways compared to exec search.
Networking: Leverage your existing network and connect with recruitment professionals. They can provide insights and may even help you find opportunities.
Ultimately, if you’re not enjoying exec search, it’s worth exploring recruitment. Many people find their niche in a different area of talent acquisition. Good luck with your transition!
