Transitioning from 360 to 270 Recruitment
Hey everyone! I have an exciting opportunity on the table to join a new company in a 270 recruitment role. In this position, I’ll be responsible for managing client relationships, discussing job specifications with them, presenting candidates, and closing deals on both ends.
The commission structure is appealing, offering up to 15% once I bill over £24,000 in a month, and between 10-12% for any amount below that. The base salary is set at around £35,000, with plans for the company to expand into EU and US markets in the future.
Currently, I work at a large agency focused on public sector recruitment, and this role would mark a shift to the private sector, specifically in the tech industry.
I would greatly appreciate any insights or thoughts on whether this opportunity sounds worth pursuing.
Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you have a really exciting opportunity on the table! Transitioning from a 360 role in public sector recruitment to a 270 role in the tech sector could bring some fresh challenges and growth for your career. Here are a few things to consider:
Role Shift: Moving from a 360 to a 270 role means you’ll be more focused on managing clients and candidates, which can be very rewarding if you enjoy relationship-building. Think about whether this alignment with your strengths and interests excites you.
Commission Structure: The commission structure seems quite appealing, especially if you’re confident in your ability to bill over 24k a month. If you believe the tech sector will allow you to achieve those goals, it might be worth it financially.
Salary: The base salary of 35k is decent, but consider how it compares to your current compensation and benefits. If you’re feeling underappreciated in your current role, this could be a fresh start.
Growth Potential: The potential for expansion into the EU and US markets is a big plus. If you’re interested in working internationally, this opportunity could pave the way for growth and more diverse experiences.
Company Culture and Reputation: Since you’re moving from a large agency to a potentially less established company, do your research to ensure that the culture aligns with your values and career aspirations.
Ultimately, if this role aligns with your career goals and you feel confident in the commission structure, it could be a fantastic move. Good luck with your decision!
