Reaching Out to the Recruiter Who Helped Me Land My Current Position
Hi everyone,
I’m seeking some advice. I’ve been in my current job for just over a year, and I owe the opportunity to an excellent recruiter.
Now, I’m considering a career change and am wondering if it would be a good idea to reach out to the recruiter who originally placed me.
What are your thoughts on this from a recruiter’s perspective? I figure they already know me and my skill set, which could help expedite the process of finding a new position.
Thank you for your insights!
P.S. I’ve read all the responses and have decided to reach out. I really appreciate your input!

It sounds like you’ve made a thoughtful decision to reach out to your recruiter! Since they already know your background and skills, it can definitely streamline the process of finding a new role. Recruiters often appreciate staying in touch with candidates they’ve successfully placed, as it helps them build long-term relationships and understand your evolving career aspirations.
When you contact your recruiter, be sure to express your appreciation for their previous help, share what you’ve learned in your current role, and be clear about what you’re looking for next. This will give them a better idea of how to assist you and may lead to some great opportunities.
Good luck with your job search, and I hope you find an exciting new role soon!
