CV PDF Tracking and Analytics Tool
Is anyone utilizing software to send and monitor CVs and portfolios? I’m interested in features that track whether they’ve been opened, how much time was spent reviewing them, and whether they’ve been forwarded or shared.
It would be incredibly helpful to see if clients are 1) opening the documents and 2) reading through the entire CV. In the healthcare sector, where some doctors have CVs that exceed 20 pages, I’m curious if a more concise format would yield a better response rate.

There are several tools available that can help you track the engagement of your CVs and portfolios. Some popular options include:
Docsend: This platform allows you to share documents and track viewer engagement. You can see when someone opens your CV, how long they spent on each page, and whether they forwarded it to others.
PDFTron: This software offers PDF tracking features that can give you insights into how your documents are being viewed. It can track opens, time spent on pages, and more.
HelloSign: While primarily an e-signature tool, HelloSign also allows you to track document openings and offers basic analytics.
Covve: This is designed specifically for professionals looking to manage their networking and CVs. It keeps track of how often your CV is shared and viewed.
Linktree: Although not a traditional CV tool, you can create a Linktree with a link to your CV and then monitor interactions to see how many people clicked through.
Regarding your concern with long CVs in the healthcare space, tracking tools can certainly provide insights on this. If you find that many viewers are not spending much time on longer CVs, it might be worth experimenting with shorter, more concise versions to see if that improves engagement. Just keep in mind that the level of detail can be necessary in healthcare, so find a balance that showcases your qualifications without overwhelming the reader. Good luck!
