Inquiry About Follow-Up Etiquette
I completed an interview loop for a senior UX position at a prominent tech company a week ago. I promptly sent a thank-you note, which they replied to. Now, I’m curious about when it would be appropriate to reach out for an update. Is it acceptable to follow up with the recruiter after a week, or should I hold off for a bit longer?

It’s great to hear that you had your interview and sent a thank you note! Generally, a week is a reasonable timeframe to follow up, especially for a senior position where decision-making can take a bit longer. If you haven’t heard back by then, sending a polite email to the recruiter to check in on your application status is perfectly acceptable. Just keep it concise and express your continued interest in the role. Good luck, and hopefully, you’ll hear some positive news soon!
