Blind CVs
As a junior recruiter at my agency, I’ve recently taken on many tasks related to candidate sourcing. After each phone interview, I’m responsible for creating blind CVs based on the candidates’ profiles for our final clients. I’m curious—how long does it typically take you to prepare these blind CVs, especially when you’re dealing with a large volume?

Preparing blind CVs can be quite time-consuming, especially when you’re handling multiple candidates. The time it takes can vary based on a few factors, such as the complexity of the original CV, the specific requirements from the client, and your familiarity with the format.
On average, I typically spend about 15 to 30 minutes per blind CV. This includes removing identifiable information, summarizing key skills and experiences, and ensuring the formatting aligns with what the client expects. If I’m dealing with dozens of them, it can definitely add up, so I try to stay organized and streamline the process as much as possible.
One tip that might help is to create a template or outline that you can follow for each candidate. This can reduce the amount of time you spend on each CV since you won’t have to start from scratch each time. Additionally, batch processing—working on multiple CVs in one go—can also help maintain focus and efficiency.
How about you? Have you found any strategies that work well for you in preparing blind CVs quickly?
